We have such conflicting views of art and religion. When I am "pondering" religion I see the five major ones with their hundreds of offspring (70 named protestant 'faiths' alone, the last time I checked) but essentially a different one for each of us, dividing and conquering thus destroying humanity. When I am "pondering" art I see individual creative activities creating humanity by "reaching out to the limits of our capacities, to others and to God." When they come together I see religion seducing art then just when it seems he is going to kiss her he bights art on the neck and sucks the life blood out of her.
