Brendan Stermer is a writer & new media producer from Montevideo, Minnesota. He is the creator of Interesting People Reading Poetry and a recipient of a 2017 Minnesota State Arts Board Grant in media arts. In 2014, Brendan spent a year in Seoul, South Korea, studying Eastern philosophy at Yonsei University and developing an insatiable appetite for kimchi. During the summer of 2016, while interning at Pioneer Public Television, he created the web series “Manhood in Rural America,” an exploration of how local men are experiencing the rapid transformation of gender roles in rural society.
