Willemien Otten is Professor of Theology and the History of Christianity at the University of Chicago Divinity School. She also teaches in the College and is Associated Faculty in the Department of History. A Dutch native, Otten recently served on a Task Force for Sustainable Humanities instituted by the Dutch Minister of Education to strengthen the position of the humanities in Dutch universities.
