Joyce Hooley is a physician at the Hot Springs Health Program. She received her B.A. from Goshen College, her MD at West Virginia University at Morgantown, and completed her pediatric residency at East Carolina University. She is board certified in Pediatrics, and is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She also holds an MPH from UNC Chapel HIll in Maternal and Child Health. She recently returned to western North Carolina after working in Ethiopia where her husband is posted as administrator for the U.S. Peace Corps. She has one grown son, and in her off time enjoys gardening, hiking, birdwatching, playing piano, yoga, writing, and reading.
